Surgical and Oncologic Outcomes of Laparoscopic Versus Open Radical Nephrectomy with Venous Thrombectomy: A Propensity-Matched Retrospective Cohort Study

Background: To compare the surgical and oncologic outcomes between laparoscopic open radical nephrectomy with venous thrombectomy (LRN-VT, ORN-VT) in patients renal tumor thrombus. Materials Methods: We conducted a propensity-matched retrospective cohort study of 302 thrombus from January 2014 to 2021. compared we used Kalan-Meier method assess overall survival (OS), tumor-specific (TSS), metastasis-free (MFS) local recurrence-free (LRFS). The Pearson chi-square test Fisher exact test, Wilcoxon rank sum Cox proportional hazards regression model log-rank were used. Results: After 1:1 matching, 94 identified each group baseline characteristics comparable.
